Social Media Community Guidelines

The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce uses social media to share news about local businesses, events, and issues that affect our community. We want our pages to be a place where members and neighbors can talk openly, including when they disagree.

What's welcome

Questions, comments, and disagreement are all welcome, including criticism of the Chamber and differing views on community issues. We will not remove a comment because of the opinion it expresses.

What may be hidden or removed

We may hide or remove comments that include:

  • Personal attacks on an individual, rather than criticism of an idea or decision
  • Harassment, threats, or intimidation
  • Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
  • Profanity or sexually explicit content
  • Anyone's private personal information, such as home addresses or phone numbers
  • Spam, scams, or unrelated commercial promotion
  • Impersonation or deliberately false claims about a person

How we enforce these guidelines

Comments that break these guidelines will generally be hidden rather than deleted. Repeated or serious violations may result in restricted commenting or removal from the page.

We enforce these guidelines based on conduct, not viewpoint, and apply them the same way to every side of every issue.

Questions or concerns

If you believe a comment was moderated unfairly, please contact the Chamber directly at 702.293.2034.
