The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary group of men and women dedicated to meeting the needs of the total community by promoting business and commerce through leadership in economic, political and social development. It is open to firms, associations and individuals in good standing, regardless of residence.

Membership Benefits -

• Membership Mixers. You will be introduced and invited to speak at your first monthly meeting and distribute your printed material. Meetings are an opportunity to meet and network with Chamber members and community leaders. The format is often light hearted and a welcome pleasure after a hard days work. Light refreshments are served.
  
• Referrals. Chamber Staff recommends member businesses and services to approximately 1750 visitors and 800 callers each month. We also respond to nearly 200 e-mail requests each month.
  
• Display Rack. Members are entitled to display brochures at the Chamber.
  
• Relocation Publication. The Chamber distributes over 1,000 of it’s publication featuring Chamber members each year. We also receive 150-200 hits per month on the web site downloading this information.
  
• Ribbon Cutting. As a new business, membership in the Chamber entitles you to a ribbon cutting. This will introduce the membership and community leaders as to what your business has to offer. The event will be covered by the newspaper.
  
• Newspaper Advertising. The Chamber welcomes new members with an ad in the Boulder City News. We will also be offering many opportunities to be featured such as the Mixer Spotlight and special promotional runs.
  
• Newsletter. You will receive a newsletter that will provide an opportunity to share information and ideas. You will be kept up-to-date on the current and future events and will find useful information. The Chamber’s goal is to keep you informed and the lines of communication open. You can also include your own flyer or advertisement in the mailing of the newsletter for a nominal fee.
  
• Map Advertising. The Chamber prints 8,000 street maps per year, offering you visibility to tourists, relocation prospects, new and established residents.
  
• Community Involvement. As a Chamber you will be informed of, and invited to participate in, the many special events throughout the year.
  
• Special Member Meetings. Special meetings are sometimes formed in order to keep the membership aware of an upcoming event, or issues that the Chamber feels merits the membership be informed.
  
• Business Seminars and Workshops. Chamber sponsored seminars/workshops give you an edge on the competition.
  
• Bulk Mail Rate Use. You can save money on your mail advertisements by taking advantage of the Chamber’s bulk mail rates. Please ask Staff for more information on this money saving benefit.
  
• Prospective Residents List. For a nominal fee, you can receive a mailing list of relocation requests.
  
• New Residents. Welcome Packet Program For a nominal fee, you will be included in the packet given to new residents upon connection of their utilities. Please provide us with your flyers or ads and we will add them to the gift bag.
  
• Membership List. A copy of the membership list is given on request. Pre-printed labels can also be purchased for a nominal fee.
  
• Chamber Web Site FREE Link. Have your web site linked to the Chamber web site for free, and be added to the Chambers Member’s Directory.
  
• Web Site Business Card Ad. The Chamber offers ads on the site for a nominal fee.
  
• Involvement. Get involved where you can, whether on a committee, at Mixers, or right from your business office. Involvement equals success for all. Help us to better help you and watch what we can accomplish.

Membership Dues - Membership dues help support the many benefit programs that the Chamber of Commerce offers. Dues are paid annually in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Business Member: Any person, association, firm, partnership, estate or corporation licensed to do business and any non-profit, service or fraternal organization in agreement with the object of this organization shall be eligible to apply for a Business Membership. Each membership may represent only one business, shall have one vote and shall be limited to ten (10) associate (voting) memberships. Dues are based on the following structure:

Real Estate:
Real Estate Agency - $150.00
Agents as Associate Members voting: $75.00
Agents as Supporting Members (not voting): $50.00

Hotels/Motel/Apts/Mobile Home Parks: $150.00 plus $2.25 each unit over 20.

Resorts/Marinas:

Banks/Savings & Loans: $250.00

Non-profit: $75.00

Associate Member (may vote): $75.00
Any interested individual in agreement with the object of this organization shall be eligible for Associate Membership. An Associate Member may not promote any business, organization or product unless that business or organization is a member of the Chamber and has a Business Membership.

Supporting Member (no vote): $50.00
Any interested individual in agreement with the object of this organization shall be eligible for a Supporting Membership. A Supporting Member may not promote any business, organization or product unless that business or organization is a member of the Chamber and has a Business Membership.

Senior Citizens Supporting Member (age 60 – no vote): $25.00

Honorary Member: Upon the signed recommendation of two members and by a three-fourths vote by ballot of those present at the annual meeting, honorary membership may be conferred upon an adult resident of Boulder City who shall have rendered notable service to the Chamber and/or to the community at large. Honorary Membership shall include all of the privileges of an Associate Membership, with the exemption from payment of dues. Businesses or organizations are not eligible for Honorary Membership.
